[Job Opening] Procurement Assistant for Singing Bowls & Tingsha

Interpreter + Quality Inspection / Kathmandu / Spot Contract


■ Background


InoBasic Inc. is a company based in Fukuoka, Japan.


We are launching a new business to procure singing bowls, tingsha, and related items from workshops in Nepal and sell them in the Japanese market.


We are looking for a reliable local partner who can support communication with workshops and assist with product quality inspection.


■ Responsibilities


1. Interpretation


- Interpret during price negotiations with workshops.

- Communicate in Japanese, English, and Nepali depending on the situation.

- Support smooth communication between local workshops and the Japan team.


2. Quality Inspection


- Check the sound quality, overtones, and resonance of singing bowls and tingsha.

- After visiting workshops, take sample items to a quiet place, such as your home or a café, and evaluate them carefully.

- Record audio and video during inspection and share them with the Japan team.

- Inspection criteria will be provided through OJT training after hiring.


■ Employment Type


- Spot contract / outsourcing / freelance

- Approximately 3 to 5 hours per procurement visit

- Several times per month

- Frequency is negotiable

- Flexible scheduling, compatible with study or other work


■ Compensation


- Compensation will be based on working hours and monthly activity level.

- Details will be discussed during the interview.

- Conditions may improve with continued cooperation.


■ Requirements


- Japanese: JLPT N3 level or equivalent conversational ability

- English: Business level

- Nepali: Native level

- Valid driver’s license for visiting workshops in and around Kathmandu

- Available for quick communication via WhatsApp

- Reliable, honest, and detail-oriented personality


■ Preferred Qualifications


- Musical ability or experience, such as playing an instrument, choir, music study, etc.

- Local business network, such as workshops, logistics, tourism, etc.

- Studying at or graduated from one of the following institutions:


 - Tribhuvan University (TU), Bishwa Bhasa Campus, Japanese major

 - Kathmandu University (KU), arts or music-related field

 - JLECC (Japanese Language & Education Culture Centre)


■ Selection Process


1. Document screening: CV + motivation letter

2. Zoom interview

3. Online skill assessment: language and communication

4. In-person interview in Kathmandu + one-day accompaniment trial

5. Final decision


The schedule will be arranged flexibly according to the applicant’s availability.
